Flux in paste form is easy to apply and wash off.

It leaves no carbon build-up or contamination.

The use of fluxes in the soldering process allows:

even distribution of heat from the hot air soldering station,
preventing the melted solder joint from sticking,
counteracting the deposition of flux residues that cause path corrosion,
achieving high economy by distributing flux evenly and accurately.
Flux with the addition of a UV component to detect errors during the application of paste by screen-printing.

Isopropanol-type fluxes and dedicated fluxes like KT-5 and KT-6 can be used to clean the residue.

Flux RMA-223 is a flux with a very good price/quality ratio and a wide spectrum of application.
